Vegas Lifestyle Influencers- Holiday Shopping Crawl at Tivoli Village

Holiday shopping can be such a drag, especially when you don't know where to go. The bigger box stores are easy but shopping local and supporting small businesses is so much more satisfying!

Tivoli Village has a huge variety of great small stores and boutiques that are local and privately owned. We got to host a fabulous group event with Tivoli for the holidays to highlight some of their amazing local boutiques and it was so much fun.

We started the day at Hub Modern Home. This store is gorgeous! They have an amazing variety of fun home goods and lots of artisan pieces as well. We enjoyed some holiday cocktails and took a ton of photos before we moved on to our next stop (but not before we were each given a really cool home gift to enjoy). I got a really adorable set of Bartender Glasses with cocktail recipes. So fun!!!

Our next stop was Gypsy 05. I've always loved walking into this store because everything is so colorful and it feels like I've just walked into a boho beach shop. Everything is beautiful! All the girls got scarves to take home and Stephanie and I were given the cutest beach roundies. I cannot wait to use these when the weather warms back up!

Next, we hit D'Annata and let me tell you, everyone just about died. The whole store has a rustic vibe with pops of pink and mint gree everywhere. It's basically an entire store of shabby chic goods. They had the best selection of delicious candles (I may have come back later to get one) and all kinds of beautiful home goods, bath and skincare products, and fun novelty pieces (like unicorn headbands).

We hit up LOOK Style Society next and got a fun little tour of the facilities (this place is beautiful) and a quick tutorial on brows and beach waves. LOOK is basically a one-stop shop- during my last visit, I got an eyebrow wax, make-up application, mini manicure and hair styling.

Last, we hit Echo & Rig for cocktails and gift bags. We learned a little bit about their butcher shop and toasted the end of the event!

Of course, the event wouldn't be complete without a fun group photo!

Unfortunately, it was insanely windy the entire day so all the girls who showed up were such troopers as we wandered the outdoor shopping complex in the crazy winds!!

Thank you so much to Tivoli Village and all the lovely host stores for having us!
As usual, all opinions are my own.

Customizing Jewelry at Kendra Scott

I love Kendra Scott jewelry.

I've been drooling over a number of pieces at my local Kendra Scott store but I'm something of an occasion jewelry shopper because it's really hard for me to find something I will be happy wearing on a regular basis.

The Kendra Scott Color Bar allows you to customize jewelry pieces with your choice of metal and stones so everyone can really get something they would want to wear every single day. There's a number of different styles and sizes too so you can find something you're really comfortable with.

Our friend, Christie (of I Can Style U) hosted a really fabulous event at the Kendra Scott store inside Fashion Show Mall last month and I got the chance to create something really fun at the Color Bar.

The store is gorgeous and so many of the classic pieces come in tons of colors.

It's hard to pick just one!

Incidentally, Stephanie and I got the same pair of earrings; however, because we each picked our own stones, they look completely different. She opted for shades of black and white and I picked clear and rose tones to compliment the rose gold metal.

My favorite thing about this particular pair of earrings is that it's actually two pairs in one. The top stones are studs and the rest of the pieces attach to the studs to make this gorgeous set. It's perfect for me since I can wear the studs to work and wear the full set when I go out to events. I actually customized this pair to compliment the outfit I have planned for my birthday outfit!

A huge thank you to Christie for the fabulous invite and to Kendra Scott Las Vegas for hosting us!
As usual, all opinions are my own.

Vegas Lifestyle Influencers- Pre-Rodeo Celebration at Double Helix & Stoney's Rockin Country

It's that time again and if you've followed my blog at all, you know it's my favorite time of the year!

RODEO.

Not only does NFR usually coincide with my birthday, it's also the best time of year for my favorite country concerts! NFR isn't just bullriding and roping- it's one of the few times of the year that the country community is loud and proud in Las Vegas.

Every year, I get to see some of my favorite artists perform, get to shop the western sales, and really enjoy the festive vibe of a country Christmas. The concert tickets are usually really reasonable too so it's almost like the rodeo is saying happy birthday to me!

This year, I wanted to get things started right- with a real pre-rodeo celebration at my favorite local haunt. And what's a rodeo party without some whiskey?

We started the night at Double Helix Wine & Whiskey Bar at Town Square Shopping Center. It's an amazing place to start or finish any night out with some really great food options (and some of the best meat and cheese platters ever) and a huge selection of wines and whiskeys. We got to enjoy a real wine tasting with Michael, their resident manager and sommelier. He is so incredibly knowledgeable about all of the alcohol that he stocks and he made it so fun and educational.

We started with the arancini andolive poppers (both are so delicious and those olives are hand stuffed by the chef, can you imagine???). We also had a pre-tasting drink which was the Pessimist.

After our first little taster, we loaded up on some amazing charcuterie (the soft goat cheese is my favorite, I could eat it all day long) before embarking on our wine tour (which consisted of what we called a "wine tree").

Our first wine was a Pratsch Rosé,  I know the whole "rosé all day" thing is super played out but seriously, if I was a wine drinker, I could drink this all day. It was light and happy and not too sweet.

Next was a Recuerdo Torrontés. I can't really drink white wine (I have a bit of an allergy) but the tropical fragrance and flavors (hints of different island vibes) were delicious.

The third wine was a crazy orange wine, a Beauregard Vineyards Pinot Gris. Michael explained that the orange color came from the growers leaving the skins on so the flavor of the wine was like a red and the color was the weirdest shade of orange!

Our last wine was a VGS red and it was delicious. I would love to pair this with a really awesome steak at some point!

It's so rare for a place that specializes in beverages to have good food but Double Helix has excellent food. We sampled the shortie tacos which were outstanding (I've had similar short rib tacos and they don't even come close), the seared yellowfin tuna and a really delicious seasonal flatbread with pear. So many amazing flavors! I love knowing that while the restaurant has someone who is truly passionate about the whines and whiskeys, their chef is incredible at creating amazing food items to pair with all those drinks!

We finished our meal with the most delicious chocolate pecan turnover. It was the perfect way to cap off an amazing meal in the chillier weather!

After dinner, we headed over to Stoney's, my favorite bar in town. Stoney's is always a great time and I've been coming here for over seven years (they used to have a different location). There are always great concerts at reasonable prices, fun contests and giveaways, and so many specials.

Since it was a Thursday, it was Ladies Night and all ladies got $1 drinks. In Las Vegas, that's uneard of pretty much all around! The laidback vibe has always been a favorite for me and I've spent many special occasions here (birthdays, going aways, Wednesdays, etc).

Stoney's has line dancing lessons all the time and they start at 7pm. It's such a great way to learn the steps in a comfortable environment before the dancefloor gets crowded!

We got a fabulous table by the DJ booth so we were able to enjoy all of the festivities from a great location. Our server, Carissa, was amazing and kept our drinks flowing all night long!

I've spent many NFR nights at Stoney's seeing the great concerts on the small stage, riding the mechanical bull (after a few drinks), and just having a great time without the hassle of dressing up and feeling out of place. It's my number one spot in town for a fun night out!

A huge thank you to Double Helix Wine & Whiskey and to Stoney's Rockin Country for the amazing pre-rodeo celebration! As usual, all opinions are my own.

Dinner Dates- Triple George Grill's Glegan Menu

A few weeks ago, Stephanie and I got to try out the Glegan Menu at Triple George Grill.

I know that sounds like total gibberish but it's actually their Vegan and Gluten Free Menu.

I'm not a huge veggie eater but I honestly really enjoyed experimenting with all of the fun vegan options during World Vegan Month.

I spent a week eating only vegan food when I was 17 and I had a vegan friend visiting for a week. It's so cool how much the menus have changed and expanded since then! There are so many great options now!

We started with the seafood platter (gluten free, right?). This platter is the perfect date night option if you love seafood- there's two of each item and you get a big variety (oysters, clams, shrimp, crab).

We shared the Grilled Vegetable Plate which had the best grilled eggplant ever.

The Penne Primavera had amazing flavor and the pasta was delicious and gluten free.

The Southwest Burger was a showstopper- I've never liked veggie burgers because of the weird texture and the way they masquerade as meat. This patty was filled with veggies and had the most amazing texture and flavor.

For dessert, we kind of broke the rules and shared the Creme Brulee.
So delicious!

Thank you so much for hosting us, Triple George Grill!

Vegas Lifestyle Influencers- Friendsgiving Dinner at Searsucker

I'll be honest, 2017 has been a very weird year.

On a personal level, it was one of the hardest years I've ever dealt with.
On a professional level, I've never been happier with my job (actually jobs).
On a friendship level, it's been the most amazing year ever.

I have so many things to be thankful for this year and getting to have a real Friendsgiving dinner with so many girls I call friends was such a blessing!

We celebrated Thanksgiving a few days early at Searsucker Las Vegas inside Caesars Palace and we got a preview of their amazing Thanksgiving menu at the Chef's Table!

I loved the fun, rustic ambiance of the restaurant and the fairly open kitchen. We got to watch everything being prepared and plated and it was so much fun!

In addition to their amazing holiday menu, we had a fabulous sampling of appetizers (all of which are currently on their daily menu).

Bone Marrow

Short Rib

Hamachi

And the Biscuits. THE BISCUITS.

For our holiday meal, we enjoyed a seriously traditional Thanksgiving feast with some really awesome Searsucker twists! The food here is delicious and nothing is just ordinary, not even the cranberry sauce!

Slow Roasted Whole Bird

Sausage Stuffing

Mashed Potatoes

Green Beans

Pumpkin Cheesecake Pudding

We also sampled their  delicious Ice Cream Sandwich (Snickerdoodles yummmm)!

I have got to come back and try their  Tomahawk Steak and 2lb Lobster!!!

Of course, it wouldn't be Thanksgiving without the giving part and we had some amazing sponsors!

It's a 10 Haircare sent us their famous leave-in product (I use this constantly and I loved adding it to my growing It's a 10 collection).

Nomad Cosmetics gifted some fabulous neutral shadows.
Melanie Mills Hollywood provided the perfect holiday glow.

Lisse Skin Healer is covering our winter skincare with their Yuza Snow Cream.

I couldn't have asked for a better venue to host our special holiday gathering. A huge thank you to Searsucker Las Vegas and the Hakkasan Group for the most amazing evening! Thank you to It's a 10 Haircare, Nomad Cosmetics, Melanie Mills, and Lisse for the awesome swag.
As always, all opinions are my own!
